Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

Glendale is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Glendale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I just waited 26 minutes for this drink and watched a dozen drink orders get fulfilled before mine. No apology for making me wait nearly 30 minutes. Not coming back, Iβd rather spend the time driving to molly tea

This place was packed! I can tell the staff was stressed. But the drinks were good. Not the cleanest Heytea Iβve been too, but still very popular.

Friendly staff Clean environment Good recipes BUT . . . Why have we changed the size 3 times now and itβs a smaller cup each time ? Is like a kind reminder that not everything stays perfect. I see way less traffic now and this may just be why. The change is represented in the last picture I posted on e literally went from a big cup to a small cup for the same $$

My new fave boba spot! Tried the Matcha Coconut Cloud Blue (left) and Mango Coconut Blue (right) both were so good but the mango stole the show! Super yummy, not too sweet, and they look just as good as they taste. The service was excellent. Arthur the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Everything was all around great, and Iβll definitely be coming back soon! π§

Updated review: January 2026 Initially i was ecstatic HEYTEA's opened their Glendale location, it's one of my favorite fruit tea stores. However, this location consistently makes the drinks watery/ not as flavorful, especially noticeable at lower sugar levels. One of the things i love about HEYTEA is how flavorful it is even with min or no sugar, but this location just can't seem to get it right. At this price point ($9 a drink w/o toppings), I expect it to taste consistent and good, which is unfortunately not the case. Please don't be stingy with the fruit :/ The drinks I've tried: brown sugar boba, green grape, purple grape, yum berry, strawberry mulberry, tiramisu. The only exception seems to be the mango coconut sago, it is always delicious.
